How is that being selfish? Maybe they don't because they'd rather have the money, but that's not selfish, you can't be selfish for caring about yourself over something that doesn't even exist. I'd say this is a good thing. Overpopulation is inevitable, if people start having less kids it can only help. We complain that People are having too many kids in Africa, and then we complain because people aren't having enough kids in Europe, what gives?And as mentioned, having kids IS being selfish, you're doing it for yourself and yourself alone(and I suppose your spouse). Now there isn't anything wrong with it, we're programmed to do it, but that's what it boils down to.
