Let's say you get 25mpg on average and drive 15,000 miles a year, if gas goes up a dollar, you're spending a whole $600 extra on gas to fill up your $15,000 car, OH NO! But then people have no problem buying coffee every morning, which even at a conservative estimate of $3 a cup, which would maybe get you just plain coffee, you're spending over $1000/year.You wanna complain about the way oil companies do business, sure whatever, but gas prices aren't that big of a deal, and a lot of other countries are a lot worse off than we are.

@tupper,I have a Lian Li case for my Linux machine and my media machine uses a Silverstone case that looks like a home stereo power amplifier. Both cases still require a bunch of cables to connect all of the components. The Mac Pro does not (sans two short PCI-E cables for some video cards). I still haven't seen a Lian Li or Silverstone case that's as elegant as Apple's Mac Pro cases.Sure, some of Apple's advantage is that the motherboard has an integrated SATA/SAS backplane and features a removable tray for the CPUs and memory, but if there's a PC case that's as nice as the Mac Pro's, I'd love to find it and buy a couple.

this article does not contain just "10 nuttiest statements." It contains about a thousand quotes, and each "nutty statement" is "organized" into 10 "chapters." Couldn't the article contain, you know, the whole article, and then an actual "top 10" list? BTW, Top 10 Lists look like this: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10.

I think both of you are completely off mark. first off hakugin, Ron Paul believes very much in health care reform but not in a socialized system that he thinks would increase the deficit spending that would devalue your money pushing people closer to bankruptcy. No matter how fare we are from this "Utopia", we should not give up on striving to reach it. second mkw408, I think most people who are libertarian express it very will the problem is most people have no idea what the libertarian party is and they think they are being good conservatives by being republican. |
