| Oh I think you misunderstand me. I do not think it was the wrong decision, but it (and the entire war) still was very tragic. Both the non-nuclear and nuclear. |

Would this mean less reality TV?
I don't see how transferring ownership to a LESS credit worthy organization will help any. Oh, nevermind, they're the Government so they can just inflate their way out of the problem. That will only hurt people who were stupid enough to save money. I think I'm going to convert all my assets to copper, then after the dollar is dead I can sell it to China for Yuan.

Actually, you get that whenever you go from one OS to a completely different OS. Moving from XP to Windows 7 is not an upgrade. There is no upgrade path for it. Vista to Windows 7 is a painless upgrade as I can attest to. Moving from XP to Apple involves much more than simply loosing your data. It invloves losing access to most of the application you knew and loved when using XP. Most vendors still don't support the Apple OS and 99% of video game vendors still don't. Since games is one of the major uses people have for computers that is a huge deal. If all you do is browse the web and email then you would be better off with Linux since it is free and you don't have to buy a new computer to use it. If you do a lot more with your computer then jumping to OSX is not an option..

Yeah, that whole "they liked the first one so they watched the second one without knowing" flies out the window when you realise how many DVDs they're selling. Also, usually when a movie sucks word of mouth spreads and it stops making money the second week...Transformers CONTINUED to make money.

It drives me just a little crazy when I hear people saying that unemployment is "less than half" as bad as it was during the Great Depression; it's an apples-to-oranges comparison, as the statistical methods have changed significantly since the 1930s. If you want a real comparison of the two time periods, you need to compare Depression-era unemployment (around 25%) to U6, not U3 (the commonly-used modern measure of unemployment).

Big ***** deal. I used to get excited about naked pics when I was a teen/kid. But that was before the advent of the internet. Now, hot naked girls are a dime a dozen, there are literally 1000s online. So it aint a big deal anymore.

"Observe good faith and justice towards all Nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all. Religion and Morality enjoin this conduct; and can it be, that good policy does not equally enjoin it? It will be worthy of a free, enlightened, and, at no distant period, a great Nation, to give to mankind the magnanimous and too novel example of a people always guided by an exalted justice and benevolence. Who can doubt, that, in the course of time and things, the fruits of such a plan would richly repay any temporary advantages, which might be lost by a steady adherence to it ? Can it be, that Providence has not connected the permanent felicity of a Nation with its Virtue? The experiment, at least, is recommended by every sentiment which ennobles human nature. Alas! is it rendered impossible by its vices ?In the execution of such a plan, nothing is more essential, than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular Nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded; and that, in place of them, just and amicable feelings towards all should be cultivated. The Nation, which indulges towards another an habitual hatred, or an habitual fondness, is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest. Antipathy in one nation against another disposes each more readily to offer insult and injury, to lay hold of slight causes of umbrage, and to be haughty and intractable, when accidental or trifling occasions of dispute occur. Hence frequent collisions, obstinate, envenomed, and bloody contests. The Nation, prompted by ill-will and resentment, sometimes impels to war the Government, contrary to the best calculations of policy. The Government sometimes participates in the national propensity, and adopts through passion what reason would reject; at other times, it makes the animosity of the nation subservient to projects of hostility instigated by pride, ambition, and other sinister and pernicious motives. The peace often, sometimes perhaps the liberty, of Nations has been the victim."-George Washingtontl;dr: You have no ***** clue about America. |
